What’s Included

1. Pick up and drop off from anywhere in downtown St. John’s.
2. Start your tour in St. John’s and head south on the Irish Loop. Along the way, you’ll pass through several small towns and communities, including Ferryland.
3. Your first stop is the Colony of Avalon, a historic site that tells the story of early English settlers in Newfoundland. Explore the archaeological site and visit the interpretive center to learn about the challenges faced by the early settlers.
4. Next, head to the Ferryland Lighthouse Picnic, where you can enjoy a traditional Newfoundland picnic lunch in a beautiful coastal setting.
5. After lunch, continue your journey to Mistaken Point Ecological Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site that features some of the world’s oldest and most significant fossils. Take a guided tour of the reserve to learn about the geological history of the area and see the fossilized remains of ancient creatures.
